Overview

The 346A Interface System provides superior and reliable transmission
of analog signals in the most demanding applications. A standard
series 346A system consists of two transceivers for single-fiber
operation at 850/1300 nm. A dual-fiber version for 850 nm or 1300 nm
may also be specified.

Maintains System Audio Quality

Incorporating optical AGC circuitry, the system does not require field
adjustments either during or after installation. Distortion is kept very
low throughout the system, enabling the quality requirements of
intercom, paging, and music systems to be met.

Superior Diagnostics

The SMARTS™ diagnostic technology provides LEDs that monitor the
operating status of the optical signal.
